June 10th Seattle Area Housing Report

Modest increases in listing inventory this week couldn’t keep pace with the strong buyer demand this week. The result is pending sales were up in most neighborhoods and price points across the region. The exception being the upper end on Mercer Island and throughout the Eastside where there are still several months of standing inventory.

In spite of the current seller’s market, brokers note a definite cooling of buyer sentiment, particularly when listing prices are push above reason. Still, with a continued shortage of inventory, we expect a robust summer real estate market.
